Looking for some seasonal work? The City of Chisholm Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for Youth Center Attendant positions and Chisholm Public Works Department is accepting applications for a Fall Casual Labor position to work in Public works and Campground!

United Way of North Eastern Minnesota Presents: Renegade 25K/5K Trail Run

Gotta run? September 11th United Way will be hosting a 25K/5K with the proceeds benefiting UWNEMN’s United For Veterans Program! Start stretching now and sign up early! The races will take place at The Redhead Trails and racing routes will be made available on UWNEMN’s website. There will be prizes for first place male and female in both races for each group for a total of 24 rewards!

Iron Range Renewal: FREE Concert Series

Iron Range Renewal is hosting a FREE Labor Day Weekend of fun for the whole family . Range Center Inc.: Now Hiring Residential Program Supervisor

The Range Center is looking for a new full time residential supervisor! The supervisor position must be able to maintain a small group living situation directed toward maximizing the independence of each resident and to relate to each resident, their family, guardians, and case managers on an individual basis. 

Required qualifications include being able to pass a criminal background check through Net Study 2.0, must possess a valid MN Driver’s License, must be able to communicate with verbal and written English, must be at least 18 years of age. 245D Requirements for Designated Coordinator, must have minimally one of the following:

  • (1) A Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • (2) An Associate’s Degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • (3) A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons 65 and older; or
  • (4) A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
  • (5) Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clause (1) to (3).

Preferred Qualities:

  • Ability to be self-directed and work without close supervision
  • Ability to handle detailed work under deadline pressure
  • Experience in staff supervision
  • Other as per job description

Doc “Moonlight” Graham Days: TV Timewarp Costume Contest, Beer & Cocktail Tasting

August 6th, 2021 starting at 6PM participants will be visiting bars which will all be reimagined as TV shows throughout the years for drinks, snacks, prizes, and good times all around!

Participating bars include Snickers Pizza & Pub, Sidelines Sports Bar, T&T DOM, Tom & Jerry’s Bar, Jim’s Sports Club, and Valentini’s Supper Club. $35 Advanced Tickets which may be purchased at participating bars. $40 Tickets at the Door.

Hibbing Community College: Z-Degree Fall 2021

Hibbing Community College will be offering a "Zero Cost Textbook" degree this Fall with NO TEXT BOOK COSTS in any course required to complete the degree!

HCC will offer 52 or more zero-textbook-cost courses for the Associate Arts Program and students who participate will have the option to take courses as part of the Z-Degree could potentially graduate with NO TEXTBOOK COSTS EVER!

The creation of these courses have saved students approximately $375,000 in textbook costs to date!
