Kids Kare Fund 5K

A group of community members and running enthusiasts are organizing the 10th Annual Kids Kare Fund 5K Race scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Hibbing.

The goals of the Kids Kare 5K are:

  • Help kids with expenses related to their health problems.
  • Build community spirit. For the 2019 event we had over 300 paid 5K participants. We also had over 100 community volunteers helping support the race.
  • Get healthy. Encourage people to get outside and exercise!
  • Build partnerships with other child advocacy programs and entities.

The main goal of the 5K run is to raise money for kids with health issues from across the Iron Range. This may include help with out-of-pocket expenses related to receiving medical care, such as prescription co-pays, gas cards for travelling to and from medical appointments, or equipment for physical or speech therapy. The Kid Kare Fund falls under the 501c3 umbrella of the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation.

The run is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022 beginning at 9 AM at the Hibbing Memorial Arena.

Sign up for this great race by going to the Kids Kare website and click the Community Events tabInvite your friends and family to join in the fun for a great cause!

Volunteers from the Kids Kare Fund Committee, the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation, Fairview Range, and community members will provide the manpower the day of the run.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship in the past years funded 100% of the expenses from the race, allowing us to direct all of the participant registration dollars to the Kids Kare Fund.
