2026 Tomassoni Tour – Cycle for ALS
Registration Is Open for the 2026 Tomassoni Tour – Cycle for ALS
Get ready for one of the Iron Range’s most inspiring cycling events! Never Surrender Inc. is returning to northern Minnesota for the 4th Annual Tomassoni Tour – Cycle for ALS, taking place September 17–19, 2026.
This unforgettable event combines the beauty of the Mesabi Trail with a meaningful mission—raising funds to support individuals and families affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) while helping advance research for a cure.
Ride Your Way
Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just looking for a new challenge, there’s a ride for everyone.
Participants can choose from:
- Full Ride: 100 total miles over two days
- Half Ride: 50 total miles over two days
- Virtual Ride: Ride anywhere and choose your own distance
Even better, E-bikes are welcome, making this event accessible to riders of all experience levels.
This year’s tour also brings back Team Fundraising, allowing friends, families, coworkers, and organizations to create or join a team. Working together makes fundraising more fun while supporting an important cause.
Experience the Beautiful Mesabi Trail
Cyclists will enjoy one of the most scenic paved trails in the country.
The Mesabi Trail stretches more than 150 miles across Minnesota’s Iron Range, connecting 28 communities from the Mississippi River toward the Boundary Waters. Riders will travel through forests, past sparkling lakes and streams, alongside historic mining pits filled with brilliant emerald-green water, and may even spot local wildlife along the way.
The fully supported ride begins and ends at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, with transportation to and from the trail provided each day. Riders will also enjoy meals, snacks, evening entertainment, and three nights of lodging while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Chisholm residents are encouraged to show up at Kiwanis Park on Friday September 18th to cheer on riders as they cross through the David Tomassoni arch!
Making a Difference
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, affects more than 18,000 Americans. Every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed with the disease, and someone else loses their battle. Currently, there is no cure.
Never Surrender Inc. is committed to changing that. Funds raised through the Tomassoni Tour help provide assistance to families living with ALS while also supporting research to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Adding to the excitement, Minnesota Twins World Series champions Terry Steinbach and Kent Hrbek will once again participate in the event. Both lost their fathers to ALS and continue to be passionate advocates in the fight against this devastating disease.
Register Today
The Tomassoni Tour is open to riders 21 years of age and older. Registration requires a $200 deposit, and participants commit to a fundraising minimum of $1,200. First-year cyclists receive a reduced fundraising minimum of $1,000.
Your fundraising includes event registration, rider swag, lodging, transportation, trail support, meals, snacks, and entertainment.
Whether you ride 50 miles, 100 miles, or participate virtually, you’ll be making a meaningful difference.
Gather your team, enjoy one of Minnesota’s most beautiful cycling experiences, and help Never Surrender Inc. continue the fight against ALS.
Partnership
Never Surrender Inc. has partnered with the Chisholm Area Chamber of Commerce to sell Tomassoni Tour Support Circles throughout the community. Every circle purchased helps support families living with ALS while funding research to find a cure. Look for Support Circles at Tom & Jerry’s, Valentini’s Supper Club, Jim’s Sports Club, and The Chisholm Chamber and display your name proud as every dollar raised goes toward funding hope in the fight against ALS.
While you’re celebrating Doc “Moonlight” Graham Days, be sure to watch for the Never Surrender Inc. organization in the Grand Parade on Saturday, August 1. Give them a wave, cheer them on, and help recognize the incredible work they are doing to support those affected by ALS. Their commitment to raising awareness and funding research continues to make a lasting impact both here on the Iron Range and beyond.
Whether you register for the ride, purchase a fundraising sticker, make a donation, or simply help spread the word, every act of support brings us one step closer to a future without ALS.
