Night of Discovery! For the first time in 50 years of operation, the Minnesota Discovery Center is hosting a fundraising gala! This celebration is happening on Friday, September 5th, 2025 from 5:00pm-9:30pm. Get dazzled up in cocktail attire and experience a night of discovery, connection, and celebration as you explore the hidden treasures of our museum. Wander through immersive exhibits, enjoy the beauty of the historic grounds, and uncover the powerful stories that define Minnesota’s Iron Range.
The special night features:
- Delicious food, prepared in-house by our culinary team.
- Signature cocktails & mocktails.
- Live Music by Duluth’s “Between Howls”.
- A silent raffle featuring unique items & experiences.
- Engaging moments that showcase the spirit of MDC’s mission.
“Between Howls” features a married duo of violinist Ren Howl and guitarist Nick Howl. This Minnesotan group specializes in a dynamic blend of folk, rock, and soul music inspired by artists past and present. They recently released their first full-length album, Cabin Fever, and they’ve spent the past year playing at venues across the country.

8:00pm — Raffle Winners Announced
