United Way of Northeastern MN returns to the Redhead MTB Park for their Annual Renegade Trail Run! There will be multiple competing divisions that will be using the park’s newest trail on Saturday, June 29th with all proceeds going towards United Way’s United for Veterans Program. Registration for the run will start in April and can be done from their event page on the United Way website!

Runners will have the chance to compete while exploring the scenic vistas of the former mining pit turned outdoor recreation park. The annual Renegade Trail Run will begin at 7:45AM and will end at 12PM with the awards presentation.

  • Friday, June 28th
    • 3:00 – 6:00 PM – Packet Pickup
  • Saturday, June 29th
    • 7:45 AM – Registration Opens/Packet Pickup
    • 8:30 AM – Presentation of Colors
    • 8:45 AM – Competitive 5K Start
    • 9:00 AM – Distance Looping Race Start
    • 9:15 AM – Ruck Weighted Division Start
    • 9:30/ 9:45/ 10:00/ 10:15 AM – Non-competitive 5K Starts
    • 10:30 AM – Walkers Only 5K Start
    • 12:00 PM – Awards Presentation

About the UWNEMN United for Veteran’s Program

United for Veterans focuses on providing “an environment of honor and respect for all comrades in Northeastern Minnesota while developing opportunities, supporting those in need, and empowering veterans”. UWNEMN provides access to a Veteran’s Crisis Fund and Veterans Connections as well as “Operation: Soldier Story” which aims at collecting oral histories from veterans and service members to encourage healing and to build community.

They have several programs and events that they provide to veterans and their families that include annual retreats and annual holiday meal kits as well.
