HELP US CELEBRATE 9 YEARS OF VALENTINI’S TURNING PINK

FRIDAY OCT 28

October 2013 we started our event in honor of our sister in law

Carol Marturano who is a breast cancer survivor.

Every year since we have donated our proceeds to the Angel Fund to help provide financial assistance to other families with any type of cancer on the Iron Range. To date we have raised over $94,000!

Stop in and purchase your raffle tickets for a variety of prizes! All proceeds will go toward the Angel Fund and the assistance of families in Northern Minnesota! You have the chance to help and even win something cool while you’re at it! Valentini’s Turning Pink annual event is a great way to show support to not only the community but to everyone suffering from cancer. Raffle items will be announced on the Valentini’s FB page. Raffle ticket holders do not have to be present to win, but coming out for the drawing is a fun time and you can get some great food while you’re there!

We are requesting donations to help raise money for this amazing cause.  Ex: Monetary, gift cards, baskets and/or raffle items

Howl-o-ween Pet arade logo

Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade

The Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade will be taking place in downtown Chisholm on October 28th from 6PM-7PM! Everyone should be able to enjoy the spirit of Halloween, including our furry friends! Participants will be meeting in Kiwanis Park by the bridge entrance of Chisholm, all pets must be leashed. All pets are welcomed too of course!

The Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade will be taking place shortly after Lake Street Trick-or-Treat so if you already have the kids out make sure to stick around for the show! We had some great pet costumes last year, but not nearly enough cats!

All participating pets in the parade will get some new toys (both cat & dog toys are provided) and all of the attention your furry family members deserve!

We will also be providing a drop off tub for Precious Paws at the Kiwanis Park meeting area for donations to our sheltered animals who are also in need of and deserving of our love! If you would like to learn more about Precious Paws and what they do or if you would like to volunteer please visit them at their website! There are so many wonderful animals there that would benefit greatly from a little extra love!

Flashlight Clueseum logo

Flashlight Clueseum

The Flashlight Clueseum is back at Minnesota Discovery Center for the Halloween season on October 21st & 28th at 8PM!

Sometimes, the things you see in the shadows are more than just shadows. Flashlight Clueseum is back and we need you to solve the mystery but this time, in the dark.  The clues are harder than ever and the dark will definitely make things more difficult!

The game starts at 8pm.  Fastest to finish will win a prize!

Never played?  It’s like the game Clue to an extent.  You must solve the riddles provided to rule out who did it, with what weapon, and in what room.  As you read the riddles, you’ll be directed to a specific part of the museum or exhibit.  There you will try to pin point what the riddle exactly means and you will find a picture of a person or weapon (not obvious mind you – this is going to be HARD!).  Once you find that picture, you will cross that picture off of your clue board and that means that the picture you found is not the answer to the mystery (aka the murderer or the weapon used).  If you like solving riddles – this game is for you!

To play the game, it only costs $10 per Non-Member, $9 per Member

Glen Location Flashlight Tours logo

Glen Location Flashlight Tours

Get ready for a spooky & historic time at Minnesota Discovery Center with the return of their Glen Location Flashlight Tours! Just in time for Halloween! There’s something spooky about being in a historic place… in the dark! Come ride our historic trolley and get a tour of the Glen Location after hours. Guests can bring in their own flashlights, but it’s scarier in the dark!

There’s something about October that makes everything just a little spookier, maybe it’s the chill in the air or how the hours seem to wind back and the dark creeps up faster than those daylit summer hours. Mix that together with a historic location and the heaviness of October night and you have a recipe for some spooky fun! Great idea to bring the kids out for, or bring a date!

If you have not experienced the Glen Location Flashlight Tours before it’s absolutely something to experience and is the perfect way to dip your toes into the Halloween season! Try and find your way there, by flashlight or braving the dark!

Call 218-254-7959 to make your reservation for one of the following times:
