The beautiful thing about independent bookstores is how unique each one can be. Iron Heart Books is located in a 1909 building, and we are keeping all the historic aspects--like the bar--while updating doors and windows and moving in bookshelves and fixtures. Inside, you will find amazing architectural details like wood carvings, stained glass, and tin ceilings along with photos of the original Koscak's Bar, graciously shared by family of the previous owners
Why "Iron Heart"?
Because Chisholm is the "heart of the Iron Range," we are IRON HEART BOOKS. Located right downtown in Chisholm, Minnesota our space is in the former and historic Koscak's Bar. We've turned the bar into bookshelves, and they are loaded with the most current popular new books as well as a carefully curated collection of quality used books. You'll also find unique gifts and unusual mementos.
Services
The Reading Room
Our comfortable reading room will be available to outside book clubs. Purchase any 3 books from us, and the room is yours to book for an hour meeting. Groups or vendors may also choose to rent the room, $15/hour or $50 per day.
Custom Buttons
Design your own button or let us do it. Choose from 1-inch, 1.5 inch, or 2 inch buttons. $1.50 each or $15 per dozen.
Plastic Ring Binding
Bring in your loose pages for binding or your worn cookbooks for a refresh! $4 for a simple binding or re-binding.
