This position is full-time and comes with the benefits of working for a locally owned small business that is competitive in a large market, is flexible with its staff and understanding of the needs individuals have when it comes to family needs, events and PTO. This position will be responsible for the following:

Work closely with CPA to ensure filings and accounting are done in a timely manner and before deadlines, work with CPA through auditing filings

Daily Invoicing – monthly statements;

  • Applying customer payments and depositing checks through E-deposit system
  • Sending out check payments
  • Credit Card purchases – set up invoices and reconcile
  • Set up Vendor invoices, disputes, payments through website
  • Set up of new customers and vendors, Filling out and sending of credit information, tax exemptions
  • Set up bi-monthly and monthly payables – Garnishments and rent payments
  • Get time cards ready, running commission reports and sending out paystubs
  • Specific vendor invoicing to customers and payments to specific vendor
  • Manual invoicing and paying for contract employees
  • Month end reports
  • Other duties as assigned

With a dock at the bottom for kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming as well as world class MTB trails who can say that they are surprised that we are in the running?

Sign the kids up for Chisholm Flag Football this season and squeeze out the last bit of summer before we start settling in for winter! Registration is open for boys and girls from grades four through six!

We are hoping to have a bigger season than ever this year and would love to have as many participants as possible to keep the competition and fun at an all time high! All games and practices are on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Practices & Games: are held at the Doc “Moonlight” Baseball Field (735 2nd Street N.W.)
Team Practices: September 12th & 14th at 3:30.
League Games: Begin on September 19th at 3:30 and 4:30.
Game Schedules will be available on the City of Chisholm’s Web Site ci.chisholm.mn.us under
“Recreation” and handed out to the players the first week of practice.

We hope to see everyone out and having a good time! May the best team win, enjoy your summer!

Chisholm City-Wide Garage Sale

The Chisholm City-Wide Garage Sale will be taking place the weekend of July 29th – July 30th throughout the city of Chisholm. With a wide range of items available from many different households you can absolutely find something worth taking home with you!

Get some new clothes for the kids, find a (used) new snowboard for the winter months, or maybe if you’re lucky you might even find a gem hidden in the junk!

The Chisholm Citywide clean-up will be happening from July 11th – July 15th and is going to help everyone in getting rid of a ton of unwanted junk, making our city a little tidier! Everything from tires, refrigerators, and microwave ovens to bricks, wood pallets, and mattresses can go!

Accepted Items:

  • Tires: up to 24.5″ diameter vehicle tires, with or without rims. (LIMIT 4)
  • Appliances: “Preferred Drop Off” At Precious Paws 101 1st Ave SW
    • Refrigerators (remove doors)
    • Freezers (remove doors)
    • Stoves
    • Hot-water Heaters
    • Air conditioners
    • Dehumidifiers
    • Microwave ovens
    • Fluorescent light fixtures (No ballasts/bulbs)
  • Automobile batteries, Lawn mowers, Computer Towers
  • Television & Computer Monitors ($5.00 per item)
  • Mattresses, Box Springs ($10 per item) LIMIT 4 MATTRESSES
  • Chairs & Sofas ($5.00 per item)

**PLEASE MAKE A PAYMENT AT CITY HALL. MUST HAVE RECIEPT OF DROP OFF**

  • Demolition Waste:
    • Bricks, wood, pallets, shingles, rolled roofing, lumber, electric wire, sheetrock, styrofoam, insulation, storm windows
  • Residential Trash: Non-hazardous trash ONLY!

**Hazardous Waste- asbestos laden materials, and other items not listed above will not be accepted. Household Hazardous Waste will be accepted at the Balkan Township Canister Site on July 6th from 10:00 – 1:00**

  • Yard waste will be accepted at the compost site located just west of the cemetery, off Cemetery Road (no bags, please)

 

Preparation:

As stated above, doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers. Remember Precious Paws before dropping off at the city garage. Other containers are not necessary.

Alternative Free Drop Off Sites:

The St. Louis County Waste Department accepts tires (LIMIT 4), appliances (LIMIT 2), batteries, used motor oil, scrap metal, used antifreeze, 4-foot fluorescent bulbs (LIMIT 4), and oil filters (LIMIT 4) free of charge at its Transfer Station in Hibbing and its Regional Landfill in Gilbert. Household hazardous wastes are collected by appointment on scheduled dates at no charge.

Corrugated cardboard is accepted at Balkan Township Canister Site free of charge.
