The Chisholm Chamber’s “Chilly Open” Golf on the Snow Scramble is set for Saturday, March 7th! We accept the first 18 teams to sign up, so grab your friends or co-workers and form a team of 4–5 players.
We create a makeshift 9-hole snow course by plowing snow at the Minnesota Discovery Center overflow parking lot, near the RedHead Trail entrance. The cost is $45 per person, which includes racquet balls, tees, scorecards, and the banquet dinner.
Some teams choose to bring a sponsor—and we’re offering a $200 sponsor special that includes your sponsor’s signage on the course, social media promotion, recognition at the banquet, and 4 player registrations.
All you need to bring are golf clubs or hockey sticks to hit the ball down the course. This is a scramble format, so everyone plays each shot and the best ball is used for the team score.
Registration begins at noon at Jim’s Sports Club in Chisholm, where you’ll check in your pre-registered team, pay if you haven’t already, and find out your starting hole and pairings. Jim’s will also be offering Bloody Mary and chili specials, so come hungry!
Once at the course, the Minnesota Discovery Center will have a traveling bar and snack cart available. Please note that outside beverages are not permitted. Be sure to watch for fun side games along the course—and expect plenty of laughs.
After golf, we’ll head back to Jim’s Sports Club for the banquet dinner, prize giveaways, and tournament winner announcements. Live music will follow, making it a full day of winter fun with friends.
