Fossil Lab & Paleontology Recap
The Fossil Lab & Paleontology Recap will be at the Minnesota Discovery Center on January 21st from 2-8PM!
Did you know the Minnesota Discovery Center now operates one of the ONLY public dig sites for fossils in Minnesota? That’s right, we now hold the collections for the Hill Annex Paleontology Project in partnership with the Science Museum of Minnesota!
So….we want you to come #discover the fossils we’ve unearthed over the last year here in northern Minnesota at our Open Fossil Lab from 2-5pm. This portion of the event is free and open to the public. Bring the kids and get a picture with our mascot dinosaur!
Light refreshments (coffee, cookies, water) will be served throughout the day.
2-5PM OPEN FOSSIL LAB (FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)
Stop by the Minnesota Discovery Center and discover 90-million year old fossils at our open fossil lab from 2-5pm! This event will take place in our fossil lab, which requires shuttle pick up at the winter entrance. We will be running the shuttle to the fossil lab every 15 minutes from 2-5pm.
6-8PM MEMBERS ONLY ANNUAL PALEONTOLOGY RECAP
Minnesota Discovery Center and Hill Annex Paleontology Members are invited to the Members Only Annual Paleo Recap presented by MDC Paleontologist, John Westgaard. Learn about significant fossil discoveries, explore our fossil display, engage with our paleontologist, and find out how you can contribute to our fossil programming as a citizen scientist! Don’t miss this great event!
