Lovers of a good challenge should sign up for the MDC Puzzle Contest which will be happening on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Taconite Center in the Minnesota Discovery Center! Before the competition begins, attendees may also bring in old puzzles that they have completed for some puzzles that the Minnesota Discovery Center or other attendees have – all puzzles to be swapped must be fully re-boxed and in good condition! Their will be snacks and beverages available for purchase
Each team of up to four people will have 90 minutes to complete a 500 piece puzzle. The first team to finish will win, and if no team finishes their puzzle then the team with the fewest leftover pieces will win! So get your friends and family members together and show off your puzzle prowess at the MDC Puzzle Competition this April! Can you put the pieces together in time?
Register your team in advance, only 15 teams will be able to participate!

- $40 per team entry (museum admission included)
- Each team gets to keep the puzzle they finish
- Anyone accompanying a team or spectators must pay museum entry fee
- Anyone competing or spectating may take part in the Puzzle Swap portion of the event
- Puzzle Swap begins at 1:00pm
- Competition begins at 2:00pm
